The Stop Community Food Centre
Founded in 1982, The Stop Community Food Centre works to increase access to healthy food for marginalized people in Toronto. The charity aims to do this while promoting dignity, self-determination, and a sense of community. The Stop’s main location runs the food bank, meal programs, and advocacy programs. The Stop’s Green Barn features a greenhouse, sheltered garden, compost demonstration centre, and Farmer’s Market.
The Community Impact Grant will be used to help offset the monetary shortfall to the funding of our drop-in and food bank budgets caused by the cancellation of two major fundraising events due to the COVID-19 pandemic
