Saanich Neighourhood Place

Saanich Neighbourhood Place (SNP) is a neighborhood house that offers quality family support, food equity, childcare programs, and services. SNP serves a diverse community and are the sole neighbourhood house in a region of over 120,000. Most of their programs serve those needing access to food, with many having long waitlists. They also rescue and redistribute about 14 tons of food a year. Their Family Food Program, which the Community Impact Grant will support, will provide food education and access in a variety of programs. A chef and trained staff will teach skills on how to safely prepare healthy meals, lead classes to support development of social connections, deliver meal programs to help those in need, and provide meals for children in childcare programs.
