The Greater Trail Community Skills Centre Society empowers rural communities through workforce development, training, and poverty reduction programs. It supports low-income individuals and equity-deserving groups, fostering inclusivity, equity, and economic empowerment in a safe, welcoming environment.​ The Roots to Table project is a food security initiative for low-income households, combining gardening, food preservation, and community cooking. Participants grow food with provided supplies and workshops, learn preservation skills for year-round access, and join weekly sessions to prepare affordable meals. The program fosters self-sufficiency, practical skills, and community connections.
