Agapè Centre Cornwall Inc.

The Agapè Centre is a community-based organization working towards eliminating hunger and food insecurity through nutritious food distribution. The Centre provides hot meals, crisis bags, and access to a foodbank. In July 2023 they supported over 2,500 people through their foodbank services, where almost 900 were children under the age of 18. Operation Backpack, supported by the Community Impact Grant, is a program that will supply free, nutritious meals and snacks for children to eat over the weekends. Partnering with local schools, the program will provide packs of food to students at risk of going hungry to take home at the end of each week. The program aims to support the health and well-being of children who are living in food insecure households.
