Regina Food for Learning

Regina Food for Learning is dedicated to feeding at-risk youth in Regina schools. In the past 34 years, Food for Learning has provided over 3 million meals to hungry children. They believe that when nourished, attendance improves, undesirable behaviours decrease, and the children can concentrate better in class resulting in better outcomes in their education and lives. Their Community Impact Grant will support their program: Nourishing Young Minds, which will provide children in high-risk communities with nutritious food. The program will also provide education to children on good eating habits, encourage positive thinking, and raise awareness of the issue of child hunger in their community.
