Congratulations to Cory Feng, Claims Specialist at Ecclesiastical. She is the recipient of two awards: the FCIP Top Graduate Award and the Norman Bortnick Memorial, Gold Medal Award for receiving the top mark of those completing their FCIP in BC this year. These are incredible accomplishments and her colleagues at Ecclesiastical congratulate her on this achievement.
The Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) is the highest professional designation in the property & casualty (P&C) industry in Canada, and is offered by the Insurance Institute, a member-based organization that has provided professional development to Canada’s P&C industry for over a century
“The FCIP is a six-course program,” said Cory “The capstone course takes eight months and is a research-based project based on a real-life scenario in the company you work for, or in the industry as a whole. I developed a robust framework to evaluate and manage our claims service providers and this tool will now be used when selecting partners.”
“I highly recommend both the CIP and FCIP programs,” said Cory. “After completing the program, I have deepened my technical skill and knowledge, harnessed new ways of thinking about emerging risks, and feel better equipped to lead in the world of insurance. The program also provided me with an opportunity to gain insights into the perspective of insurance professionals from all parts of the insurance business.”
“We are proud to foster a culture of continuous learning and development, and we encourage our employees to obtain their professional and industry designations. In fact, we provide full financial sponsorship and study days,” said Lorna McIntosh, Vice President, Human Resources. “Congratulations Cory on this outstanding achievement.”
