Toronto, ON—Since its inception in 2017, Ecclesiastical Insurance’s signature giving program, the Community Impact Grant, has awarded funding to over 500 registered charities and non-profits across Canada. Administered under the auspices of Benefact Trust, Ecclesiastical’s charitable trust owner, the Community Impact Grant has helped these organizations make important and sustainable differences in their communities. Programs include providing support for underprivileged children and families, at-risk youth, and vulnerable or under-served people. They also include far-reaching initiatives aimed at preserving Canada’s history and cultural diversity.
By year end 2024, Ecclesiastical’s Community Impact Grant will have totalled $5 million!
“The Community Impact Grant program is allocated through various ‘giving streams’,” said David Huebel, President of Ecclesiastical. “Among these, Give for Good is an innovative and unique stream whereby we invite employees to submit the names of charities and non-profits that hold personal meaning for them. This year, as always, we are immensely proud of our team members across the country who so passionately nominated many worthy and deserving organizations.”
“At Ecclesiastical,” added Jacinta Whyte, Chair of the Canadian Grant Giving Committee, “everyone has an opportunity to participate in our signature giving initiative. All of us on the Committee were touched by the overwhelming participation of employees and by the scope of their nominations. As General Manager & Chief Agent for Ecclesiastical Canada, I was especially moved by our employees’ deep-seated commitment to the values that drive our collective mission—namely, to contribute to the greater good.”
Give for Good grants for 2024 totalled $125,000.
