Applications for the 2025 Movement for Good Awards are now closed. If you would like to be notified of upcoming grant giving initiatives, you can sign up here.

Successful applicants are notified by the end of the campaign calendar year with grants being awarded soon after.

Typically, grants are awarded via direct deposit into the charity’s registered Canadian bank account.

Absolutely. If your application is unsuccessful, you may apply again next year.

In 2025, 100 grants of $2,000 each were awarded.

Yes, you will be notified if your application was not selected.

We are unable to consider applications from:

• Non-registered or de-registered charitable organizations
• Charitable organizations working outside of Canada
• Organizations that have already received grant funding from Ecclesiastical Canada in 2025. If the outcome of another application is pending, the charity is still able to apply to Movement for Good.
• Foundations and grant-making institutions
• For profit organizations or ventures
• Fundraising events, annual fundraisers, galas, and other special event fundraising activities
• Issue advocacy groups, political organizations, labour organizations, or service clubs
• Educational institutions (primary, secondary, college, university)
• Recreation or sports teams
• Single individuals
• Retrospective or deficit funding/debt retirement
• Organizations that discriminate

Your application will be assessed by Ecclesiastical Insurance and consideration will focus on two key factors: regionality and overall impact. Our goal is to support initiatives that make a real difference in communities across Canada. Please provide information in your application to help us understand the genuine impact that your organization is making.
