February 9, 2026 – Toronto, ON: Since 2017 Ecclesiastical Insurance has proudly supported communities across Canada through its annual Community Impact Grant program, providing more than $7 million in funding to over 700 charities to date. These grants empower innovative charitable programs addressing some of the most pressing concerns facing Canadians, including food security; education and job training; health and wellbeing; and environmental sustainability.

2025 marked an unprecedented year, both in the number of registered charities that applied and the number of selected recipients. Ecclesiastical Insurance is proud to announce a record year for the Community Impact Grant program, with $1 million donated across 47 charities.

More than a number, this donation represents the lives of over 30,000 people who will receive much-needed services and support through these 47 diverse charitable programs. Services like music therapy for justice-involved young men in Ontario, employment training for recent immigrants to Winnipeg, and community gardening led by Indigenous Elders in the Northwest Territories. Programs like these have the power to change the trajectory of young lives and prevent recidivism, build stable incomes and brighter futures for families that are new to Canada, and pass on cultural teachings while providing sustainable sources of food for Northern communities. These examples represent just a few of the countless stories of meaningful, lasting change that Ecclesiastical Insurance is proud to support.

Together, with an additional $1 million donated earlier in the year through other grant programs and charitable partnerships, 2025 was a record-breaking year of giving for Ecclesiastical Insurance. In total, $2 million was donated across more than 200 Canadian charities, supporting communities from coast to coast to coast.

“At Ecclesiastical, we believe that better business can better lives,” said Lorna McIntosh, Senior Vice President, People & Culture. “Thanks to the dedication of our employees and our unique structure as a proud part of the Benefact Group, an international family of financial service companies owned by a charity, the Benefact Trust, we give all available profits to good causes through initiatives like the Community Impact Grant, expanding our reach and deepening our impact year after year.”
