Ecclesiastical Insurance is proud to mark Cyber Security Awareness Month with the release of a new whitepaper: Cyber Security Best Practices for Charities, Non-Profits, and Small Organizations, alongside its complementary Cyber Security Risk Management module in the Ecclesiastical Specialist School™. Together, these resources provide organizations with both practical learning and actionable strategies to build resilience against evolving cyber threats.
Developed by John Del Grande, Senior Vice President, Business Innovation, the whitepaper explores why cyber security matters for resource-constrained organizations, outlines the most common threats to watch for, and highlights best practices in areas such as password hygiene, email and web safety, data protection, and incident response. It also underscores the importance of creating a culture of security and leveraging free and low-cost tools to strengthen defenses.
The Cyber Security Risk Management module complements the whitepaper by offering an interactive learning experience. Covering threat awareness, incident response planning, and practical exercises, the module helps organizations put cyber security concepts into practice. Learners can test their knowledge with a short quiz and receive a personalized certificate upon completion.
“At Ecclesiastical, we understand that cyber security is not just about protecting systems—it’s about safeguarding trust, reputation, and the mission of organizations that play a vital role in our communities,” said John Del Grande, Senior Vice President, Business Innovation. “This new whitepaper and Specialist School module demonstrate our commitment to equipping customers with the tools they need to manage risk and operate with confidence in today’s digital world.”
