Toronto, ON, July 16, 2025: The annual nationwide Community Impact Grant program run by Ecclesiastical Insurance is now accepting applications from registered Canadian charities. Running from July 16 to August 15, 2025, this signature giving initiative provides vital funding to organizations that are driving positive change in communities across Canada.
Since 2017, Ecclesiastical has awarded over 500 grants totaling $5 million, supporting charities of all sizes in delivering transformative programs that help communities thrive.
Funded by Ecclesiastical Insurance under the auspices of their charitable owner, Benefact Trust, the Community Impact Grant reflects a longstanding commitment to give all available profits back to charity and good causes. This initiative is part of a broader suite of giving programs and partnerships focused on building stronger, more resilient communities.
For the 2025 program, special consideration will be given to charities whose work addresses:
- Health and wellbeing
- Education and job training
- Environmental sustainability
- Food security
“Given the continued challenges facing communities across Canada, we are proud to once again lend our support through the Community Impact Grant program,” said Jacinta Whyte, General Manager & Chief Agent for Ecclesiastical Canada and Chair of the Canadian Grant Giving Committee. “We’re honoured to stand beside the extraordinary work of Canadian charities as they uplift vulnerable individuals and help build a more equitable, inclusive society.”
The impact of this grant program is felt coast to coast—from community gardens improving food security in Saskatchewan, to job training for newcomers in New Brunswick, to mental health support for youth in British Columbia, and environmental conservation projects led by Indigenous communities in the Northwest Territories.
Ecclesiastical Insurance invites everyone to spread the word and encourages eligible organizations to apply.
