Underwriters are responsible for assessing, loss analyzing, negotiating, rating, and issuing new business, renewals and endorsements for an assigned portfolio based on the company’s underwriting pricing and guidelines. The underwriter role is responsible for achieving Ecclesiastical’s profit and underwriting objectives for a specified book or portfolio of business, complying with and conforming to Branch and Corporate policies, measures and standards for underwriting, customer service, profitability, productivity and financial management. This position requires underwriters to build both internal and external relationships.
